To renew your vehicle tags online, you must have the PIN that was printed on your renewal notice. Please note the location of the PIN and plate number on this example renewal notice:
A unique number assigned by the county treasurer and used for authentication when paying by eCheck through www.iowataxandtags.org.
The tax receipt number is located on the property tax statement. If you do not have your tax receipt number available, click the 'Need Help? Request assistance online' link to send an email request to your county treasurer. Your county treasurer will supply the tax receipt number in a reply to your email.
